The Beiter Limb Tip Line Gauge helps to determine limb straightness and torsion.
One set of 4 gauges (#0421/0441/0461/0481) has sizes from 20,0-34,5mm: at
least three of them can be placed on the tips of each available limb on the
market.
4×1 Liliga
Instructions:
The Beiter Limb Tip Line Gauges must be placed between the string and the
limbs: this avoids the string to be retained in the string groove and shows if the
limb alignment is good.
Mount the larger Gauge first! You have two choices to install the Gauges:
before you string the bow or while drawing the bow with a Beiter Brace hold on a
Beiter RipClutch or Beiter Bow Holder System.
Please note that the Limb Tip Line Gauges are not parallel as the limbs are not
parallel as well: place the Limb Tip Line Gauges as shown in the picture!
Once you have mounted the Limb Tip Line Gauges string the bow (if not already
done). If you use the Beiter Limb Line Gauges #0401 (not included, sold
separately), install them at the bottom of the limb (close to the handle) to help to
find the centre of it. Draw the bow once and close it – without putting a torque
onto the riser. See if the string hits in between the lines of the Limb Tip Line
Gauges: if so, everything is OK. You can also check the limb torsion and
alignment at full draw.
For this purpose draw the bow with the Beiter Brace on a Beiter RipClutch System
or Beiter Bow Holder and look from behind if at full draw: if the string is not
between the lines, the limbs are not working in a correct plane.
